College Credits & CEU's
All Ashby's Great Expectations programs have been specially-designed to satisfy the credit
requirements at regionally-accredited colleges and universities offering assessments of prior
Such assessments, known as Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR) evaluations,
typically involve the preparing of a Learning Portfolio containing proof of the college equivalency of
the program or programs being appraised.
A copy of the most comprehensive items needed for most Learning Portfolio's is provided to all
Ashby's Great Expectations graduates at the final session of each core program.
Many graduates of less rigorous (e.g. 42 contact hour) core programs designed by members of
LCG have received 3 college credits in the lower baccalaureate division in communications or
speech. As a result, LCG believes that graduates of an Ashby's Great Expectations (54 contact
hour) core program should be encouraged to pursue no fewer than 3 undergraduate credits via
college and university PLAR assessments, plus an additional 3 undergraduate credits for
successful completion of 50 or more hours of Embed reinforcement training. Of course, as in all
matters related to the granting and transferring of college credit there are no guarantees and all
final decisions regarding the awarding of credit rest solely with the college or university making
The Leadership Capital Group LLC does not maintain a list of institutions granting credit for its
programs, nor is it able to influence college or university decisions on behalf of graduates. Those
interested in more information about the earning of college credit at particular institutions should
contact the Undergraduate Admissions Office at each college or university.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS
A Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is a universal measure of achievement used by companies
and professional organizations worldwide to verify the successful completion of a quality
educational or training program. Medical doctors, dentists, registered nurses, attorneys, certified
public accountants and public school teachers are among the many professionals often required
to accumulate CEU's on some specified basis in order to remain licensed. Typically, one CEU is
awarded for every ten contact hours of training or education conducted by a qualified instructor.
All Ashby's Great Expectations graduates automatically receive 5.4 CEU's upon completion of
the core program via an official notation on each person's certificate of completion. Additional
units may be awarded to core program graduates at the discretion of host organization officials
for every ten hours of successful participation in Embed reinforcement modules.
